Rachel Isysia is a self-taught Belgian artist that takes her inspiration from Egyptian mythology, African culture, Japanese anime, empowerment of women, the 80s and 90s and hip-hop to name a few. Her name, Isysia, is derived from the ancient Egyptian goddess, 'Isis'.
Rachel uses the essence of what Isis represents; a mix of strength and sensitivity with a blend of colour, symbolism, and the female form, to express her ideas. Her art is a reflection of a young woman who has grown up in the 90s, whilst cultivating a sense of mystery to allow her art to speak volumes.
